MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITY, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE): Skills/Abilities: • Operate a motor vehicle and various road maintenance equipment including flatbed truck, forklift, trailers, traffic message board, tree-trimming and painting equipment; • Skillfully and safely operate a truck having standard transmission with skill and safety in accordance with traffic laws; • Maintain a safe work environment for self, employees and the public; • Understand and carry out verbal and written directions; • Perform heavy manual work requiring good health, physical strength and agility; and • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Knowledge: • Motor vehicle laws relating to the equipment operation; • Methods, procedures, materials and tools used in construction, maintenance; and repair work; • Methods used in operating dump trucks and truck/trailer combinations; and • Basic math sufficient to keep time cards and service records.
