***JOB OPP*** 18531 / Computer Support Specialist Pocatello Free Clinic Work Schedule: Part-time Hours per Week: Wage/Salary: $10/hr Compensation Details: Employment Start Date: ASAP Employment End Date: Supervisor: Executive Director Job Description: Primarily responsible to maintain and keep in good working order all computers, printers, and other office equipment. 1) Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. 2) Oversee the performance of computer systems. 3) Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software. 5) Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support. 6) Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. 7) Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software. 8) Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. 9) Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades. Qualifications: kills and Knowledge Required a. Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including Microsoft and Adobe applications. b. Skills in administration, interpersonal, community and group relations. c. Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills. d. Good verbal and written communications and a strong attention to detail. Education and Experience a. Required Junior, senior, or graduate at Idaho State University and eligible for work-study. b.
