**JOB OPPORTUNITY** repost from Claire: Term-time Job Opportunities. We currently have vacancies for Playworkers to join our Ofsted Outstanding breakfast and after-school clubs based at Southwater Infant and Junior Academies and Holbrook Primary School. Working at Kids Like Us can be messy and noisy but is always varied, fun and very rewarding. We are looking for enthusiastic, positive and friendly people to join us in providing outstanding quality childcare. We would love to hear from you if you: • Can work well as part of a vibrant team • Enjoy being with and playing with children • Can show initiative and a hard working ethic • Have empathy and interest in the children’s interests and lives. • Can quickly establish positive relationships with children, their families and your other team members. A recognised childcare qualification is desirable but not essential and there are plenty of opportunities for training and gaining qualifications whilst working for us. During a typical afternoon session you will work as part of a team to: • Collect the children from their class, liaising with school staff as necessary • Play board games, puzzles and imaginative games with the children • Lead arts and crafts activities • Supervise and partake in outside play and group games • Prepare and serve snack and assist in varied snack time activities, such as storytelling, group discussions and games • Set-Up and Tidy-down before and after sessions Throughout the session you will share responsibility for supervising the children’s safety and behaviour to ensure that their play is positive and safe. In return for your commitment we can offer a fun working environment, competitive rates of pay and flexible term-time working arrangements. Volunteering roles are also available.
