*** JOB POSTING *** DIRECTOR OF SENIOR LIVING & COMMUNITY SERVICES LeadingAge Washington, a state-wide trade association representing not-for-profit and mission focused senior health care and housing organizations, is seeking a Director of Senior Living & Community Services. The Director of Senior Living & Community Services will assist members in the areas of federal and state policy and regulatory guidance for licensed care settings, senior housing, home and community based services as well as general business regulations. This member of our staff will analyze and communicate legislative initiatives and advocacy as a member of the Association’s advocacy team and build collaborative relationships among housing communities and service providers to stimulate partnership opportunities. The Director will work to identify training needs of members and to bring innovative programming and leadership management courses to members. Also, will staff the Assisted Living and Senior Living and Community Services Committees. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in state or federal public policy, general knowledge of both the legislative and regulatory processes, possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills, and demonstrate an ability to work and solve problems independently while maintaining close communication with the association’s team. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience developing and fostering effective relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders. Knowledge of assisted living, affordable housing and/or home and community-based services is a plus. Some travel is required. A competitive compensation package is offered.
