January 8, 2015 *** Issue # 006 I have been in many churches over my 65 years of life and have sat listening to many, many, preachers. During this time I have experienced only a slight few who actually shepherd their flock. The messages coming from their pulpits were salt and peppered with the world and world literary writers. Only a handful of these preachers actually taught about Bible precepts, hell, sin and Jesus Christ and the crucifixion. Little did I know that I was witnessing the rise of the seeker sensitive preaching and a new-age in the Christian Churches. As I reflect on the past, I admonish myself for not recognizing the changes and I realize that I sat under a church that was Biblically starving its people for many years. I didn’t know that other churches existed as I was taught that THIS was the TRUE Christian church. I now ask myself: “How many others experienced the same fate that I did and were totally “clueless” of the facts?” I thank GOD for opening my eyes and I now realize the totality of the phrase:”…they have eyes but do not see…” Have you experienced a similar fate in your life?
