**Job Opening** Last day to apply is tomorrow 3/27/14. Human Resources Representative at Stonewall Jacksons Memorial Hospital Hours: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday. Hours could vary depending on departmental deadlines. Duties: Responsible for performing secretarial duties, promoting good employee relations, performing data entry functions and various other duties concerning personnel matters with the utmost level of confidentiality. ORGANIZATIONAL DIMENSIONS Under direction and supervision of the HR Manager and Director. Maintains contact with hospital employees, supervisors and external contacts. MAJOR PERFORMANCE DUTIES Performs secretarial duties (typing, filing, running copies, taking messages, mailing correspondence, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner. Tracks licensure and certification expirations ensuring all personnel are in compliance. Verifies by completing primary source verifications. Facilitates various functions as they relate to payroll: (keying deductions, Data entry of time in time clock system, stuffing checks for department distribution) biweekly. Complies with established policies and procedures of the hospital including the corporate compliance policy. Treats all personnel, policy and hospital business with the utmost level of confidentiality. Attends meetings as required such as in-service meetings or committee meetings, etc. Organizes work schedule according to daily and non-daily responsibilities and duties. Assists with New employee orientation by preparing packets and other related documents as well as presentations. Filing and creating personnel, staff development and retirement files as necessary. Circulates inter-hospital and physician correspondence in a timely fashion. Maintains the inventory of employment applications Data entry of new employees in attendance and performance tracking system (Q & A) Assists Human Resources Director with tracking of necessary Affirmative Action Plan data. Assists Human Resources Director with balancing of benefit deductions with Benefit invoices. Assists with tracking accrued holidays taken. Knowledgeable of and adheres to JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals Other duties as requested by the Director and Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: Experience in Human Resources preferred. Experience in the secretarial field a plus. Experience with computers and multiple programs (spreadsheets and word)is critical. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary position. Most lifting is less than 10 pounds. Occasional prolonged standing and walking.
