Work hours can vary from 20 - 40 hours per week. Position(s) will be filled under the Department of the Army Pathways Intern Program. The Department of the Army Pathways Internship Program is designed to provide students currently enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work and get paid while exploring federal careers through a job with the Department of Army. The Department of the Army Pathways Interns may be converted to a permanent position within 120 days of successful completion of the program. DUTIES: Back to top •Reviews or prepares documents such as delivery orders, change orders and modifications ensuring that the format, content and distribution conforms with applicable regulations and procedures. Identifies required information that is missing or incorrect. Obtains missing or corrected data. Monitors receipt of bilateral modifications requiring contractor signature. •Receives, logs and verifies contractor invoices and processes for payment. As necessary, returns to contractor for additional information. Checks contractors release form for accuracy and completeness. Enters explanatory remarks for any discrepancies noted. Prepares vouchers and processes payment through channels to Disbursing Officer. Updates status of transaction in standard contracting automated system. •Assembles all documentation for different types of contract files determining which forms and destination to use. Establishes and maintains control of contract files and provides information to the Contract Administrator such as delays, amount of funds certified and applicable fund cite. •Prepares a variety of correspondence such as letters, memorandums and routing slips in proper format for contracting officers review and signature.
