****Job Vacancy**** - ladies and gentlemen. One of our lovely ladies returns to her other job next week which means we will have a position available within our shop. Yes Julie, we are greetin at your departure boo hoo :( So if you think you can fill Julies boots and say fancy a brew in the morning heres what we are looking for. We require a hardworking individual who can work to instruction and their own initiative, who understands that ironing is their main job (a free steam facial comes everyday at the ironing board so thats a bonus), be willing to learn about all of our services and products and will take pride in the quality of the product pre and after event. Stain treating is a massive part of the job (however again another bonus is that youll be able to tone up your bingo wings when cleaning the covers lol) and last but by no means least we would ask that you have a cheery disposition as speaking to the general public will be essential. Before anyone applies please take into account that this post WILL require you to work weekends - Saturdays and Sundays are a normal day to us. You must be physically fit as we lift, bend, crawl and humph (theres a good Scottish word) all sorts of items in and out of the van. Full training will be given. And last but by no means least a driving license would be essential as from time to time you would be set free to dress a venue yourself and expenses would be paid to you. Again we will train you on how to tie a bow - well if you can tie your shoelaces then Im sure you can tie a bow! We often get people thinking that dressing a venue is like being a fairy Godmother but in reality it is hard work - thats why we would need you to be as fit as possible. Diamond sprinkling sounds great but thats usually at the very end of a hard shift making sure the room is fit for all our Princesses! We try where possible to look at the workload coming up and arrange the hours to suit the needs of the business around the girls who currently come to work in the shop. But like everything we sometimes get a curve ball thrown at us - venues require more items, Brides up their numbers, venues are busy so we need to go in on the day of the venue to dress. So our last request is that you would be as flexible as possible. Dont worry we open at 10a.m at the earliest and close at 4p.m. Its not that often we have to stay behind. This position is based on a casual / self employed role with hours still to be arranged. Because of Health and Safety we would require you to be over 18 as our irons are classed as machinery and due to the Young Persons Act in the workplace, handling or operation machinery is not allowed if you are under a certain age. Knowing the words to silly songs, eating chocolate, being able to swear like a trouper from time to time and knowing whos done what to whom on Corrie / Easties are all possibly another helpful string to your bow. Seriously, if you or someone else is looking for work then please email me on [email protected] Dont PM me your details as they get mixed up with Brides information - an email would be ideal and if you have one, attach your latest CV please too. We work along side some of the most fabulous wedding businesses in the Loch Lomond area, service some of the most fantastic venues, liaise with lovely wedding co-ordinators whos standards are high and thats the way we want to keep things. Professional, dedicated, hard working and friendly - do you have these skills? We are looking to fill this role asap so emails to the ready and we look forward to hearing from you soon x
