**Joliet Township Animal Control** Please share Knox, he is an owner surrender and is waiting patiently for his forever home. **Cherie** Knox is a 2 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler). He was surrendered to us because his previous owner had him as an outdoor working dog and felt that he deserved a home where he could be part of the family as an indoor pet instead. Knox is a sweet boy that is a little shy when he first meets new people. He loves going for walks and knows basic obedience. He has been bred for herding but has not taken to it as eagerly as his previous owner had hoped for. He would rather be a lap dog earning lots of snuggle time instead! Knox has not been around children before but we think he would be best with older children that wont be quite so rough and who can help Knox adjust to indoor life more smoothly.
