. . .Judge a man not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their charcter! - The Great Dr Martin Luther King Jr. BECOME COLOR BLIND!!! Ok, I have been quiet for long enough. . . I GREW UP IN PINE BLUFF, AR! MY parents taught me to be color blind, even though they grew up in a generation that called ANY black person the N word as a description of their color, not as a derigitory, nasty word that people recognize it to be today. My classmates, Black, White, all walks of life did not care what color you were! You were Good, Bad, Rude, a Thug, a Druggy, a Pothead, a Preppie, a Soccey (Think Socialite), a Valley Girl, a Sped among other things, but the color of your skin was NOT the main factor in this consideration. Then in the mid 80s the GANGS were imported from Chicago and Detroit, Crips and Bloods came in and told us how we should feel about each other, and that we needed to join them to BE someone! They created a divide that should have NEVER been there! The kids just a grade below us, learned to HATE each other, be suspicious of each other. . . NOW our whole country has LOST ITS COLLECTIVE MINDS! WHY is it that they are rioting in the streets about a police officer shooting a man. TAKE OUT THE COLOR from the equation!!! One man was Wrong! MAYBE BOTH!!!!! We dont know which one of the two! BUT STOP destroying that city!!!! There was a cop in Pine Bluff who shot her boyfriend in her home this week. . . You dont see people up in arms at that? BECAUSE they are WAITING for an investigation! Is it because they are both black?! STOP Insighting a riot and look at the facts. LET THEM do the investigation, dont hang the cop to make the mob happy! Someone needs to speak UP! I heard the ONLY man who made sense on the news, was Bishop Edwin Bass from the Church of God in Christ. He told the outside people who were in their community to cause riots to LEAVE. That Ferguson will handle this! That is how MY Pine Bluff would be! Can I get an AMEN from my classmates?
