#Kashmir | Geelani to sketch his shadow in the minds of people. Chairman Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani is scheduled to address a public meeting to commemorate memories of martyrs on November 6, after noon prayers at Shopian Chowk in South Kashmir and on November 8 after Friday prayers at Kupwara main Chowk. Amalgam spokesman Ayaz Akbar said in a statement said that Hurriyat Conference has decided to hold a seminar in memory of martyrs of Jammu on 11.30pm, Tuesday, November 12 at Hyderpora Srinagar. The speakers would speak about the great human tragedy, in which millions of innocent people were brutally killed and equal number forced to leave their homes. On Sunday, Ayaz Akbar while releasing the details, said that on September 7, this year when puppet regime and their masters were enjoying Zubin Mehta music concert at Shalimar garden, the same time the Indian brutal forces killed four innocent youths at Gagran Shopian and when people protested against the gruesome killing the forces resorted to firing and one more youth was shot dead. He said that Syed Ali Geelani could not visit Shopian to extend his condolence to the bereaved families as he was continuously detained at his residence by authorities. Now we have decided that a public rally will be held at Shopian town on November 6, to remember those martyrs and Syed Ali Geelani during his address would pay tributes and apprise people about its stance related to political developments, future strategy and other related issues. Spokesman in his statement has said that a similar public rally would be held at Kupwara main Chowk on November 8, after Friday prayers. Spokesman has further said that a few pro-Indian politicians of Kupwara district are creating confusion and misunderstanding about the people living in extremely sensitive area of Kupwara and Hurriyat Conference has decided to apprise the local people about their duties and will also pay tributes for their unprecedented sacrifices for ongoing freedom struggle. Spokesman said that on scheduled date the people from Kupwara during the rally would convey that they are with the freedom struggle and have not betrayed with the sacrifices laid by martyrs. People would pay their glorious tribute to martyrs and reaffirm their faith with ongoing freedom struggle. While providing more details about the forth coming program, spokesman said that a seminar in memory of martyrs of Jammu would be held at Hyderpora on November 12, in which speakers and participants would speak about Martyrs of Jammu and our responsibilities. Spokesman said that great sacrifices presented by martyrs of Jammu has been almost forgotten due to treacherous nature of our own people and even historians have maintained their criminal silence about these. Hurriyat spokesman said, Syed Ali Gilani in turn will try to reach all the places of valley, and would like to reach all sections of people. He advised people and asked to show patience and wait for the turn with dignity and honor. Spokesman asked the people that during the schedule program they should maintain discipline and timetable must be taken care of.
