‘Kaushar Nag’ incident, failure of State Govt. Governor Rule can only save Kashmir from further destruction Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers has expressed shock on the grave incident of ‘Kaushar Nag Yatra’ stopped by the State government under the excuse of maintaining law and order in the Valley. The NPP Supremo praised the residents of Kashmir for their high spirit of tolerance and secular ethos as the Kashmiries have been practicing the tolerance of composite culture for centuries. He said that there are three main Hindu religious activities in Kashmir which include the world-known Amarnath Yatra, festival of Kheer Bhawani and the well-known Kaushar Nag yatra. He attributed praise to Kashmiri Muslim brethren for their effective and active cooperation to make these three non-Muslim events big and memorable events each year. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Kashmiri Muslims respected the religious sentiments of the non-Muslims, both the Hindus and the Sikhs. He regretted that some sacrilegious incidents were reported from Udhampur parliamentary constituency around Eid and now Kaushar Nag yatra was interrupted by the State government which clearly shows that the State government is playing in the hands of those who would like to create a divide among the people in the Valley and in Jammu Pradesh with an intention to add to the vote-banks of a particular group of politicians both in the Valley and in Jammu Pradesh. Prof.Bhim Singh appealed to the people of Kashmir to demonstrate their courage to defy the government and escort Kaushar Nag yatra to the lake with dignity and Kashmiri pride. He also urged Governor, Shri N.N. Vohra that this is the high time to dismiss the conflict-torn government, impose Governor Rule and go for free and fair elections by involving the Kashmiri youth and the people in the process.
