(Kevin Berrys Observation) We have a lot of traffic in Portland now and it has been getting worse and worse. I think everybody knows that. At rush hour in the morning, in the afternoon, on the freeway and off ramps. I am not hearing any talk about a solution to the problem. What is going to be done in the next 5 then 10 years at this rate the traffic is going to be just horrific. Now with this in mind. Why in the hell would they make Williams Ave. and Vancouver Ave. one lane to put bike lanes? That has got to be one of the craziest things I every heard of and seen. With all the traffic already on those streets during rush hour, and coming off and getting on the freeway by way of the Fremont bridge. That is just crazy!!!!!! Also you have people that park on these streets for Blazer games and other events at the Rose Garden which adds to the congestion? I ask again Why would you make them one lane streets? Answer for bike lanes. Are you serious? The bicyclists already get on my nerves the way they act like they own the road and are superior to cars, and can do what ever they want to do on the road, and you better get out of their way. This just gives them more reason to feel that way. OMG!!!!! Are you serious? We need solutions to road congestion for cars more freeways. Not more bike lanes. I am sorry but most of us are not going to be riding our bikes in the rain and in the cold and have our children in those little un safe baskets on the back of the bike the people I see do. ARE YOU SERIOUS ONE LANE? Ok Im done I just had to get that off my chest. I said my little 2 cents. What do you think about it?
