*** Khan Update 11/3/14 *** PLEASE SHARE *** Khan is settling in remarkably well and has proven to be a typical Doberman, he is mischievous, loves his humans and wants to play with other dogs. The female Dobe in the home did for a split second choose to get nose to nose with Khan this morning, so progress for sure and another meet and mingle is planned again for this evening with them both. Thank you Ryan for sharing these gorgeous photos of Khan enjoying his long walk this morning along the Lehigh River and even going for a dip in the water, we truly appreciate all the hard work our fosters put into these sweet souls to help us help them find their best life and Fureverhome. We do have Khan scheduled for a wellness exam today at Community Veterinary Practice where we are going to be doing an all over check, running a blood panel so we can start him on Heartguard Plus and Frontline Plus. We were made aware today that Khan has a tick, appears to have been there for at least a few days, its under the skin and is red and swollen, so we will have that removed today as well while hes at the vet, and we are hoping for a fecal sample to run a float too. Please keep in mind that Khan will be available for adoption very soon and if youre interested in adopting a Dobe from FDR, please send those requests for an adoption application to FureverhomesDobermanRescue@outlook. We are at a point once again where we are going to need to put a hold on intake, we have so many Dobes that need not just initial veterinary care, but follow up and a few, long term care, so we are again asking all of you to please consider a donation to our veterinary fund.
