Kim Quek The Pakatan Leadership Council has made the correct decision to present only one name, that of Wan Azizah, to the Sultan for appointment as MB. Presenting two names should never have been considered, as it is bad in law and in practice. The decision as to who should lead the government is wholly a political decision that is always exercised by the ruling party, and never by the constitutional monarch, due to the fact that the latter is above politics. There is no need to present a stand-by nominee either, as Wan Azizah has complied with all the constitutional requirement for a Menteri Besar, and the Sultan has no reason to reject her. Therefore Azmin is still a possible candidate for the post. Like Perak, the late sultan asked for few names to pick. 3) Surely there must be an agreement between PKR and PAS to agree on Azizah. Perhaps her MB position (if picked) only last until the end of the term, even if PR retains Selangor at the next GE. 4) If only politicians tell us all and not just bit and pieces. 5) Mat Sabu is the most moderate leader in PAS organisation. 6) If Azmin is loyal to the party and the pack, I do not think Selangor would mind having him as the next MB, but why keep insisting Azizah?
