******LEADERS*****Its time to recognize the SPIRIT of Eli...this spirit has been designed to hinder the gift of discernment...Have you ever seen people who may have the spirit of discernment and then its like they are far off from being able to discern...Example 1 Samuel 1:9-15 9 Once when they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah stood up. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his chair by the doorpost of the Lord’s house. 10 In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”12 As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. 13 Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk 14 and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.”15 “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord...NOTICE NOW ELI HAD A FALSE DISCERNMENT LIKE MANY TODAY BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO SEE WHATS GOING ON IN THE FLESH AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DISCERN IN THE SPIRIT.....HOLD ON BEFORE YOU KILL ME AND AT LEAST LET ME FINISH WHAT IM SAYING.....and just as Eli was a priest, this goes to show you that this spirit targets at those, who are in LEADERSHIP...and some of the positions that they are in has been ordained by God but they have no KNOWLEDGE of the spirit and this spirit operates among families to strengthen ones bond to when it comes to families...Eli knew what his son was doing but he refused to deal with it and the Lord sent a man of God to come to Eli...1 Samuel 2:27-30 27 Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Did I not clearly reveal myself to your ancestor’s family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh? 28 I chose your ancestor out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in my presence. I also gave your ancestor’s family all the food offerings presented by the Israelites. 29 Why do you[a] scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?’30 “Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained....I BELIEVE IN MY HEART THAT GOD HAS AND IS RAISING UP PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO PROPHESY TO THE HOUSES OF ELI AND MANY ARE GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM BUT THATS NOT GOING TO CHANGE WHAT GOD IS SAYING OR GOING TO SAY.....THERE ARE A LOT OF LEADERS THAT ALLOW THINGS TO GO ON IN THE HOUSE AND THEY KNOW THAT ITS NOT GOD...THEREFORE, MANY DECIDE TO DISCERN FROM THE FLESH SO THEY CAN COUNT IT AS A MISTAKE OR THEY HAVE THE ATTITUDE OF SAYING NO BODY IS PERFECT.....when you find this happening in the house, you will see that the LEADERS of the house has been influenced by the spirit of Eli because they become more concerned with the appearance of sin, than they are with the sin itself. 1 Samuel 2 :22-24 22 Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 23 So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? I hear from all the people about these wicked deeds of yours. 24 No, my sons; the report I hear spreading among the Lord’s people is not good......Its one thing to hear about who is sinning but its another thing to take actions according to the sins that the people are committing..Good God Almighty...Help me this morning....Whats really SAD is LEADERS/people that allow themselves to be controlled by this spirit will stop at nothing to defend their cause, and believe that it is right to do so. 1 Samuel 2 :15-16 15 But even before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the person who was sacrificing, “Give the priest some meat to roast; he won’t accept boiled meat from you, but only raw.”16 If the person said to him, “Let the fat be burned first, and then take whatever you want,” the servant would answer, “No, hand it over now; if you don’t, I’ll take it by force.”.......Can you see the Spirit of Eli running rapidly in the churches today?....Now if you decide to throw your stones..I give you permission to do so...but GUESS what?....Im covered...
