(LONG post ahead!) It seems like theres been a mix about facts for both me and Kurami, so I shall do 10 about myself, and 15 about Kurami. Lets start with the little blondie and her friends, shall we? Ill do facts about myself later tonight: 1. Kurami is intended to be a newspaper comic strips, which, in fact, is on the verge of publication. 2. Kurami was originally supposed to be a manga about a 17-year-old blind schoolgirl, hence why she has a Japanese name. The reason for her change, now being a blind British baby, is because I thought being a manga artist was a bit cliche, plus she didnt live up to the inspiration she was supposed to have. 3. The setting of Kuramis location is in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Kurami and Ana moved from London to America to live in a condo Kurami inherited from their grandparents. The name Blue Ridge was made on the fly by my friend Alex, until we realized it was a real city. Most of the stuff in Kuramis world will be referenced off of said city, as well as locations in Indiana (which is where I live). 4. Kuramis name was made by accident and was named that by Friend Alex. Originally his idea for her name was Kuramu but ended up putting Kurami, as a spelling mistake. Its been stuck ever sense. 5. The reason why Kurami is a baby is because no other version of her (teen, tween, and toddler) could capture the pure innocence, adorableness, and inspiration like a baby can. Her being a baby was also inspired by a few of my baby cousins (And my former high school english teachers babies). 6. Even though Kurami is the title character, the Kurami series tends to focus more on her serious and heavily busty cousin, Ana. The reason for it is that Ana represents a lot of us: Just people who want to fit into society, but cant because we dont fit their expectations. Ana wants to prove them wrong. 7. Back in the day, my lovely bestie at Obreeously Comics and I did a crossover comic called Obreeously Kurami, which basically mixed Kurami and Ana with Bree and her friends. After a while, the series dropped, but I personally didnt want to see the end of Bree in Kuramis world. So, a character was based off of Bree and was SUPPOSED to be her (at the time she had short blonde hair), but eventually the character developed her own personality and emotions that separated the two. In which, resulted in Bree Kay, the 3rd character in Kurami, as well as playing the role of Anas sassy, self-accepted best friend who wants to show society that she doesnt have to live up to their expectations to live a happy life and for them to accept that shes big and beautiful, and wants to show Ana that she is, as well. 8. Zane, Kuramis pet cat, was designed off of my friends icon he once had of an assassination cat. Originally, He was able to walk and talk (and had a New York accent. Still does.) but because he seemed too similar to a famous fat cat he was ALSO based on, he was demoted to more of an actual cat-like appearance. He still complains about it to this day. 9. Dr. Oz was not based off of the guy with the same name. They just coincidentally have the same lifestyles. 10. There were two extra animals in Kurami, a hamster named Yukashii and a duckling named Quacky. A childrens book was made about Quacky and how he met Kurami, and it resides in my former English teachers room in high school. Ive considered bringing the two back for the Kuramics. 11. A lot of the Kurami-related names you see around here are a fact that wordplay and puns are a big deal around here. The three biggest and most important Kurami names youll see the most are Kuramify (or Kuramifications), Kuranimations and Kuramics. 12. Kurami originally wore glasses to hide her eyes, but in an event when she didnt wear them, her bangs (or, referred to as a lightening bang) covered them up. It stuck ever since. 13. Theres been a few incidents where a few people have actually got to see what Kuramis eyes looked like. The results have been unexplained, and actually led to a person or two being blind. The only one who has seen her eyes and remains unaffected is Ana. 14. The style of Kurami was inspired by Garfield, who happens to be a major inspiration to this series. Rachel Platten is the big inspiration behind the meaning of the series. 15. Throughout Kuramis time since 2011 (her birthday is Dec. 31), Shes inspired a town to bring art back into their lives, had 750 T-shirts made for a school to wear on a special event with her on it, has a newspaper article about her, a short film,a 4k friendbase, and has the attention of several professional cartoonists, notably a few who work at PAWS, Inc. Shes also prevented a few suicides, too. Theres a lot more facts than this, of course, but these are just some of the good ones. I hope you guys enjoy!
