***** Last Word ***** Well our debate about the predators was heated at times. Some very interesting comments I would like to address. First is Tray Way and the question about governors. We put the kart on a stand and rev the engine, the governor must kick in for it to be legal. That has to the engine happened at 5100 to 5200. You say they must all kick in on the track at other tracks. That seems odd since one of the skill parts is to avoid the governor kicking in on the track. Off the track , all should work and all have worked. Second , some are offended I called out the guy. I mentioned no names and the odd thing is you guys filled in the blank. I only used a guy , and still have not used any names. That person accused us of the same thing we are calling him on. I guess it just depends on who you like and that allows you to look past his slander of our track. Third to compare the tracks you are winning at to HRK is not a fair comparison. The competition level and speed are much higher at HRK. Maybe that is the root of the problem. A guy goes and wins at other tracks and totally discounts the competition here. Win here and you have done something. My guess would be our local guys would take time to figure out one of those tracks. Why did you think you were going to show up here and be the big dog? It just does not happen at HRK. Fourth , someone said they may have had three engines. Not so , the switch was made in plain view of tech. It was legit and the fifth place qualifier won with the third place qualifier engine. Fifth , he never offered advice , he wanted me to do something I do not agree with and so what is wrong with that. How many times each week do you think someone comes to me to point out someone else is cheating ? Happens all the time , sometimes they complain about each other. Sixth HRK is the only track that has problems. Not so , never had an issue until the person I described decided to be our tech man secretly. Prior to that , never had an issue or any arguing in the impound. Lots of things have been said and opinions given , it comes down to this though. Do you guys running the class want us to embark on a witch hunt to try to prove people are cheating ? When we do , if you are the one we question , will you take it easy ? Quite frankly I do not have a dog in the fight either. Why ? Because three more races and I am done. No more of trying to make a difference. Have at it , you will see that tearing into these engines and trying to make a decision when there is not a written rule will be something that will not go over at bigger tracks and bigger events.. Our racers will have to find another track to run the predator , that will be good for him. he will become the Bennie Brown / Bill McCutheon / WKA of the predator. My question is are you really comfortable with one guy making all the rules and being in that position ? I really appreciate every racer who has ran at HRK , I am glad the guys who do not agree with me here in the other post ,came and tried their hand at the predator at HRK. I really think you guys just missed the handle and the el tires. Thats all. It is a shame that you were led to believe otherwise and now something I worked really hard for a year to build is destroyed in a flash by someone I know meant nothing but harm to the track. That is okay , we will run the rest of the races in predator at a $5 entry fee 100% payback. This for sure will stop all the fuss about cheating and get me to the end of my time running the track. I had thought of coming back in 2015 , but this has convinced me that karting is no place for me and so I am announcing today that I am done after the last three races. Brian may have other plans for the track , but it is time for me to move on and close a twenty year chapter of kart racing. We will finish out the KOR ,the next two races are Nov. 15th , Dec. 13th. The final race , I will try and work in in that time frame so as not to delay the finish of our points. Thanks again for all the comments , opinions .etc. I look forward to our last three races and good luck to all the racers. The $5 entry fee should prevent us from having to tear into these engines. That is for sure an easy fix.
