(Le texte français suit.) DAY 26- PARIS GREY Good Morning Chalk Paint™ Lovers! We’re Dayna and Tyler from The Dandelion in Tecumseh, ON, just outside of Windsor. We are thrilled to be one of the newest Canadian Annie Sloan stockists. Since becoming stockists in August, we’ve been enjoying introducing our customers to the best paint in the world and seeing their wonderful transformations! Today we’re excited to share our Paris Grey creations with you. Paris Grey was one of the first Chalk Paint™ colours we used and we immediately fell in love. There is something slightly romantic about this subtle pale, grey neutral. Here’s what Annie says about my beloved colour: This is a soft and slightly bluish grey, and is the colour most associated with painted furniture in an elegant French chateau and of an old Swedish manor house. It works like a dream with Old White of course but it looks great distressed over the lavender blue of Old Violet and one of our other favourites is Paris Grey over Cream or for something a little stronger try it over Arles! For our Paris Grey project, we transformed an old, battered hutch. We painted the inside and details Old Ochre as it pairs beautifully with Paris Grey. When we were designing our shop, I was determined to incorporate my favorite colour into the design. We painted the cement floor Paris Grey and then stenciled French Linen over top for a really great tone-on-tone look. And lastly, I had to include a picture of that first piece we painted. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes heureux de vous présenter nos créations en Paris Grey. C’est l’une des premières couleurs de Chalk Paint™ que nous avons essayées et nous sommes tout de suite tombés en amour! Ce gris pâle neutre et subtil possède un soupçon de romantisme. Voici ce qu’Annie dit à propos de ma couleur bien-aimée : « Il s’agit d’un gris doux et quelque peu bleu et c’est la couleur la plus associée aux meubles peints dans un élégant château français ou dans un vieux manoir suédois. Il se marie à merveille avec Old White, bien sûr, mais est aussi très beau sur le bleu lavande d’Old Violet, frotté pour créer un fini d’aspect vieilli. Une autre combinaison préférée est Paris Grey sur Cream ou, pour quelque chose d’encore plus vibrant, essayez-le sur Arles! Pour notre projet avec Paris Grey, nous avons transformé un vieux vaisselier délabré. Nous avons peint l’intérieur et les détails en Old Ochre, une couleur qui se marie bien avec Paris Grey. Lorsque nous étions en train de planifier notre boutique, j’étais déterminée à incorporer ma couleur préférée. Nous avons peint le plancher de ciment Paris Grey, puis appliqué un motif au pochoir avec French Linen pour créer un effet ton sur ton. Enfin, je tenais à inclure une photo du premier projet que j’ai peint, le moment même où a débuté notre aventure avec la peinture décorative Chalk Paint™ par Annie Sloan.
