A fugitive comes to Abram in the plains of Mamre and tells him that Lot his nephew has been captured with his possessions. Abram arms his 318 disciples in pursuit and strikes at night. He brings back all the possessions, Lot his kinsmen and all the women and people. Malchizedek, king of Salem and a priest of God, brings bread and wine and blesses Abram, saying ‘blessed be Abram to the Most High God, maker of heaven and earth; who has delivered your adversaries into your hand’. - GEN 14
