******Lololololololololol******* I just got BANNED from visiting Java tomorrow (a good sign!)...... The vet said Java got so upset after I left today that he didnt settle down for a good 45 minutes :-o On a more serious note, Javas vitals are all very good. The radiographs showed no rotation or sinking, indications of laminitis (lameness), and his feet temperature and movement have improved since last night. Were waiting on the results of an insulin test and believe Java has equine metabolic syndrome, a manageable condition similar to diabetes in humans. While I would prefer no problems, this problem is one we can manage by soaking hay, beet pulp, etc. and feeding a low carbohydrate diet. The doctor even said Java can have sugar-free peppermints ;-)🍬 Barring any further complications, the latte boy may come home as early as Monday......
