{Long Post Alert} You know...at my fitting today for the MS fashion show (check out the write up below ) the woman asked me if I was comfortable walking in heels. This might seem like a simple question but for me it was very profound. You see when I knew something was wrong about 6 years ago, my feet were very numb. I was actually going to an American Heart Association gala for Valentines Day and I was trying on shoes with my mom. I had to ask her to help me put the shoes on because I couldnt bend my toes without physically looking at them and moving them with my hands. Walking in heels was not something I could do when I first had symptoms. Today though I answered her with a vibrant yes I can! Im very very blessed that my MS is not worse because I know that there are people who have it way worse than me. I asked myself many times why me when I was diagnosed. I was brought some serious rain when I was diagnosed; I felt like I was in a hurricane of emotion. I have become such a stronger person because of my multiple sclerosis. I have gotten so much closer to God through this diagnosis. He didnt do this to me but instead FOR me. I have become who I am today because of multiple sclerosis. So Jesus bring the rain. Because if my story helps just one soul anything I go through is worth it. If my experience brings me closer to Him...it is all worth it! So Im going to strut down that runway...IN HEELS!
