PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.** Re: TCLL Board Election Dear TCLL Community: As I announced at the Banquet (Great job, Womens Auxiliary Committee!), it is time to nominate folks for the TCLL Board of Directors. All that you see comes from the grit and hustle of our volunteers – Board Members and otherwise. The Board works hard all year to prepare and run a full season of Little League. It’s not easy, but we do a lot with a little, and the rewards in the form of happy, healthy kids are gratifying. It’s a great way to feel more connected to Troy community and help get things a bit more organized each year. The way it works: NOMINATE folks who have been active with TCLL and you know will make good decisions, work hard, and ask for help. SEND ME THE NAMES DIRECTLY by PRIVATE MESSAGE. I will follow-up with the person you nominate to see if s/he accepts. Nominations accepted until Monday, Sept. 22 at 5pm. VOTE on September 27 at 2pm. Coaches, team parents, and board members can vote. (Basically people who have volunteered SIGNIFICANT hours at TCLL.) A few things to note: - Please DO NOT DISCUSS names, people’s characteristics, etc. PLEASE SEND ME NOMINATIONS via PRIVATE MESSAGE. We will NOT stand for any drama, gossip, maligning, campaigning, or basically any talking about anyone at all. Online or in-person. DO NOT DISCUSS. We are all intelligent and can make our own decisions. Please remember we are modeling behavior for the youth. Remember TCLL is all volunteer-run, and we are all neighbors. - I’m collecting statements from all nominees and will make these statements available on Sept. 27. Nominees: stay tuned for email or phone call from me regarding these statements. - There will be an official ballot on Sept. 27. If you will not be there, and need to vote by proxy, also let me know privately. I will collect your ballot ahead of time. - People do not run for positions. The eleven highest vote-getters become the new Board, and then will assign themselves the positions. That said, you want to vote for people with a variety of skills and interests so as to cover the positions well. If you have questions, please post them here. But again, NO TALK ABOUT PEOPLE.
