***Long setup warning*** ;) Back before Thanksgiving a fan sent me some lyrics she wrote back in 2006 for what she referred to as a talking song similar to Charlie Daniels Devil Went Down To Georgia... my brain immediately went to work doing a little dicing and slicing and arranging and while what I ultimately came up with is substantially different than she originally had in mind, you all know me... I have to panther it up... i went a little nuts on this one with the arrangement... youre listening to 15 different tracks with (admittedly) LOTS of surgery. Rhythm Guitar, Slide, Bass, Percussion, Keys, Pads, Harmonies... and Wolf Howls. Now please dont get me wrong, Im happy to look at lyrics any of the fans may send, but this is NOT an open invitation... Ive gotten some interesting ones with possibilities, like this one, and some, well... it was hard to be kind about. I have SO MANY of my own that I have yet to arrange and record that bringing in new material that isnt mine is really NOT HIGH on the priority list... after all I am first and foremost a songwriter, not a performer... although Im feeling less and less like a train wreck in that department lately. Picture this scary looking guy (visualize the Undertaker from the WWE in a big hat and duster) with a creepy little walk making his way to the bar and walking in and leaning up against the wall... when the music grabs a hold of him and hes transformed from the Bogeyman to the Boogieman... hope you have as much fun listening as Ive had doing all the surgery on it reverbnation/play_now/22700042
