“Look On The Bright Side” There are two sides to every thing And people often take sides An opposite, a same one In the difference belief collides Then a good thing they can’t name one And heaven knows they’ve tried These two sides now spread their wings And learn to soften a bumpy ride As people get to claim one For the pleasure relief provides A bad thing seeks to shame one So for the hell of it sends a changing tide Still both sides decide to cling And let another coffin divide The people who remain one From the ones who through grief died When they could have became one If on the other they relied Taking sides also can bring A place to scoff in then misguide More people who will blame one While the thief amongst them is justified There are two sides to every thing Left side and right side Side for Queen and King Sorrow and delight side A call God now and pray side A procrastinate side Fall off by the wayside Crooked and a straight side A weak side and strong side A landing and take flight side A short side and long side A day side and a night side My favorite side of all Is not a wrong or right side It’s a side beyond a wall I’m enthralled by the bright side It is where I find insight And a template on which to build The strength to fight the good fight On an earthly battlefield I look on the bright side When my world gets dim I shine my candlelight wide And sing my battle hymn I see truth on the bright side A far reach from the starkness And with its hand I invite pride To come out of the darkness I see love on the bright side A heartbeat from those saddled With hate so they should likewise Ride out of the shadows The Bright side Both sides of me agree on The bright side It’s the only side to be on Heads or tails win or lose May your Life-Guide Always choose to have you look On the bright side
