....Looking at the Customs Law in the good ol Cayman - TopicsExpress

....Looking at the Customs Law in the good ol Cayman Islands..Under FREE IMPORTS you will find 200 cigerettes, 25 cigars, 100 cigarillos, 1 litre Potable Spirits, 4 litres of wine, 1 case of beer. Under PROHIBITED you will find ANY goods or items depicting ANY REFERENCE to ganga (marijuana) or the PLANT. I am perplexed ..not to mention sorely grieved..by this assinine statement being given the honor of place amongst the laws of my country. I would REALLY LIKE TO KNOW THE FOOL WHO THOUGHT THIS UP! To think that someone (s) actually went to the trouble and spent valuable Government time/money drafting this nonsense..not to mention the fools lurking in our enforcement agencies who LOVE to ENFORCE THIS LAW..and the idiots sitting in the house who are HAPPY to let it remain. SMH. IF someone knows this idiot (I am hoping it was ONLY ONE!)or if the idiot should happen to read this..I would really love to have a conversation with them/you..and find out EXACTLY WHY SUCH A LAW IS NECESSARY. Books ( encyclopedeas etc.) now sitting in the libraries of Cayman that depict this plant are thus illicit material , but somehow are not confiscated as they ought to be,according to the wording of this gem Further, hemp which is LEGAL in Cayman happens to be indistinguishable from ganga( hence the need for lab analysis) and so a picture of a cannabis leaf should not be a seizable item..but..believe me ..in the sunny and BRIGHT Cayman Islands it is!! Sandra Catron..what do you think of this Customs Law?..
