*Looking for a local permanent home* Heres the story. I was dropping off RAACA promo stuff at Prehistoric Pets. A good friend who volunteers there had just taken the dog in. I am 99% sure he is an Olde English Bulldogge the recreation breed. At any rate the story I was given was that he is 2. His female owner died and a trucker ended up with him. Hes been on the road with the trucker for 3 weeks. The trucker came in to Prehistoric and basically said $250 and I leave the dog here. My friend being a kind person gave him the $250 A few minutes later I walk in and the dog is tied up in the allley. With a very serious look my friend says, I cant take him please? With a smirk that I couldnt say no to I reluctantly accepted to help find this guy a home. I gave a bath immediately and a flea treatment (I saw no fleas). The caveat is my friend should get her $250 back. He is unaltered and a leg lifter. So he needs to be snipped. He is underweight but is already packing it back on. I would say he is pretty close to being at night ideal weight just after a few days of being here. Were feeding him a grain free kibble with either egg or cubed raw meat added to it. So far he had been good about not lifting inside, but is vigorous about it outside. He appears to have had no training as he knows no commands and is oblivious of the concept of walking correctly on a lead. He does seem receptive (for a bulldog) and I imagine a competent handler could get him leash trained in a few weeks. If youre interested call me. 714.612. 4210 Id like to find him a home before we get too attached: but Im kind of judgmental and picky... If you dont plan to have him: indoors and altered dont bother. If you think pedigree or iams are acceptable food dont apply.
