“Loose Lips-Idle Tongues” By Pastor Tom I can barely hold my own tongue When people start to talk About me not living life their way Even though I am walking “the walk” The last time I checked my I.D. I was well over the legal age To do whatever I want So don’t try to rattle my cage I get up each morning And ask G O D to lead my life And as long as I follow His lead I don’t need your gossip and strife I am free to make my own choices Who I date and see in my life I shouldn’t be degraded and ridiculed Unless I was dating someone else wife It is hard enough each day To deal with people we are around But I want to be able to live my life Looking up to God and not looking down I will try to respect you feelings As long as you respect mine Please allow me to live God’s way And I believe we’ll both be fine Your harsh and cutting words of disapproval And your scornful eyes of surprise Only prove to make me feel stronger To live the life I’ve chosen without disguise We are not like chameleons Changing colors from spot to spot We are simply children of God What you see is what you got I will do my Christian and very best Not to belittle, gossip about or slander you Because I’ll have to answer to a higher power When my walk on this earth is through Peace and blessing to you – AMEN!
