“Love… What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, - TopicsExpress

“Love… What is love? Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were, and who they will be.” “Love makes the world go round!” - Calvin and Hobbes “I believe that true love is unconditional, nor does it ask for reasons.” – Yang Guo Love is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will elude you. But if you turn your attention towards other things it will come and softly sit on your shoulder. – Unknown “What is commonly called “falling in love” is in most cases an intensification of egoic wanting and needing. You become addicted to another person, or rather to your image of that person. It has nothing to do with true love, which contains no wanting whatsoever.” “Love is when you shed a tear and still want him, it’s when he ignores you and you still love him, it’s when he loves another girl but you still smile and say I’m happy for you, when all you really do is cry.” – Author Unknown Love is the only way to grasp another human being in the innermost core of his personality. Love can never grow old. Locks may lose their brown and gold. Cheeks may fade and hollow grow. But the hearts that love will know, never winter’s frost and chill, summer’s warmth is in them still. – Leo Buscaglia. We can’t be doing that bad as a species, right? We have golden beaches, great towering cities, beautiful women, and this wonderful emotion called ‘love’. Now, tell me again, what is wrong with the human race? To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love; but then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer, to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love; to be happy then is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy; therefore to be unhappy one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you’re getting this down. Love is broad; if you love someone, you love all things, not just their beauty. Love is narrow; you love one and only one, compared to them, no one matters. “Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition.” -Alexander Smith “You’ll never know pain until you look into the eyes of someone you love, and they look away” “True love doesn’t have a happy ending, because true love never ends. Letting go is one way of saying I love you.” ~ arie “Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor… Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.” ~ Mother Theresa ~ The word love is derived from the Sanskrit word Lobh, which means desire, wish; the same word is used in the Russian language, Liubov. Love may be called in other words the desire to be conscious of the object of love. Love is… the smile that your child gives you first thing in the morning, it’s like they haven’t seen you in years!!! Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.
