We believe in embracing and wildlife conservation of endangered species. Our animal is the incredible BLACK RHINO. We hope with our forth-coming projects, we can help assist in raising awareness of the Black Rhino in Zimbabwe and other parts of Southern Africa. The conservation has to start with us from the Homeland. We show our love for wildlife animals with the Childrens clothing. As this is a way to encourage little children to embrace their animals from their natural habitat. Some information on the Black Rhinoceros (Diceros Bicornis) ~ Black rhinoceros have been poached to the brink of extinction due to the demand for their horn, both for use in Chinese traditional medicine and for traditional dagger handles in Yemen. ~ They can weigh from up to 800-1400 kgs. ~ A wild Black Rhino can live up to 45 years of age. ~ The black rhino is a herbivore & has a narrow, hook-lipped mouth for browsing on shrubs & bushes. ~ They have 2 horns made from keratin, which is the same protein that makes up human hair & nails. ~ Black rhinos can charge at 40 miles per hour. Current population & distribution: Thanks to successful conservation and anti-poaching efforts, the total number of black rhinos has grown to about 4,838 in the world. The species is currently found in patchy distribution from Cameroon in the west to Kenya in the east, and south to South Africa. However, almost 98% of the total population is found in just 4 countries: South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Kenya. And of these countries, South Africa is the stronghold with approximately 40% of the total wild black rhino population. Thank you to all our Lush Fans who support us.
