*** MAUNA KEA *** On top of the world. What? WINTER?! In HAWAII? Actually it is always cold up there but the views are just magnificent from here. A 360 degree views of the pacific are mesmerizing. I took a niter small hike to the next hill/ mountain, which is not visited by tourist because is colder and windier there. When I got to the top I was exhausted and gasping for air. Oxygen levels there in that other side changed drastically and I felt short of breath but I was fine. One minute out there and my fingers almost froze with the cold win. The dark clear night of the sky allowed us to see the Milky Way and all the stars and constellations we could see with the naked eye. I felt so little and special out there. If you go there?... Word of advice... Bring nice warm clothes, a blanket and COFFEE or HOT CHOCOLATE SO YOU CAN STAY WARM OUT THERE. Majesty at its best. SACRED LAND. The fun continues
