After I posted someone commented “How do ITP students/hearing know about the DODHH Advisory meeting but Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind people knew nothing about it or were informed at the last minute?” That makes it impossible for us as community members to attend the meetings and be involved in the decision making. I personally, want answers!!!! I’ve asked MDCR for answers but they don’t seem to have any… no answers!!! If you are upset, if you are frustrated because you found out about the meeting last minute or didn’t know about it at all, you need to speak up and speak out!!! We all need to stand together and speak up!!! It’s not right nor is it fair to our community for people who work for MDCR to make decisions for us with NO knowledge of Deaf culture, Hard of Hearing culture or Deaf-Blind culture and what we need. The time is NOW!!! We can’t delay this any longer and sit back and do nothing. We need to stand as one and speak up. Thank you
