*MODELLING AND POSING CLASS! (for both photographers and models) I am thinking of teaching a modelling and posing class, because too many models in Japan have developed very bad habits and it seems no one is teaching them proper posing techniques. Being a model is more than just looking beautiful. It is also about proper attitude, knowing how to follow directions in front of the camera or on the runway. Its about proper eating and lifestyle habits. In fact, being a model is very hard work and requires lots of training. But all of the burden is not on the models. Photographers also need training in how to properly direct models as well. Models cannot do their job properly if photographers arent giving them good direction. Properly posed models should look natural and relaxed in their facial expression, body position and (very importantly) eyes. Beginner models shouldnt try forced or contrived poses until they are experienced, confident and feel totally relaxed in front of the camera.
