**MURPHY AND AMIRA ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME** Murphy and Amira are also looking for a new foster home who can help with building Murphys confidence away from Amira. Amira and Murphy would very much like to be rehomed together as Murphy is very dependent on Amiras guidance and does not settle well without her. Murphy and Amiras fosterers are currently working on building their confidence to see whether they could be separated. However it would be preferred that these two move on to their forever home together. Here is some information from their foster carers with whom they have been staying for the last couple of months. --- Amira is a four year old large timber NI female with a long coat weighing at present 32kg, but has a confident nature and is not frightened by thunder but is very food orientated eating very fast. Amira comes well to a dog whistle and knows sit, stay and wait as well as stopping misbehaving with a sharp Ahem!!! She loves a cuddle and will play with Ayla and Murphy for a short play. She has a wonderful low howl which when she finishes ends with a shake of her head. Amira will walk reasonably on the lead but she is a strong dog so needs a strong handler. She is micro-chipped and vaccinated. She sleeps happily in a crate in the dark – not covered as coverings will be taken into crate through the bars and destroyed. She will defend Murphy when she thinks he needs someone to step in. Murphy is a six year old NI red male weighing 28kg with a short harsh coat who gives his love after it has been earned. He is less keen on men and is more inclined to be fearful of strange men. Murphy is not a confident dog, although was not frightened by thunder storms but is very food orientated and will eat very fast, especially if Amira is not with him, when he whines a lot and rushes around to find her. Murphy comes well to a dog whistle and knows sit, stay and wait as well as stopping misbehaving with a sharp Ahem!!! He is micro-chipped and vaccinated. He sleeps well in a crate in the dark although not covered. Negatives -Murphy will not walk more than the end of our short drive without Amira. -Murphy doesn’t howl but does bark. -Amira will jump up, especially at backs when greeting. She will low moan in the morning about 6am to wake folk up for her breakfast -Both on occasion has left a poo present for us in the lounge/hall – this hasn’t been when we have been out as they are both kept in the inner hall with Ayla when we are out of the house – it has been when they have been allowed to roam around the inside of the house while one of us is in the kitchen, they have both pee’d in the house. -Walking both dogs together is hard as they both then pull. -They are both very anxious when the main carer (Dave) leaves the house and Amira whines a lot, will not settle and often tries to climb up to see out of the window. Would you like to know more about Murphy and Amira? Do you think you could be the forever home they are looking for? Please contact Lindsey Kiba Hiscocks or Jay G Wardle for more information.
