The Red Devils made the announcement on their official website on Tuesday shortly after the Portuguese club had confirmed that Rojo would be joining the Old Trafford outfit with Nani returning to the side that he last played for seven years ago. ‘Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon to sign defender Marcos Rojo, subject to a medical and agreeing personal terms,’ a statement on the club’s official website read on Tuesday.
