*Mandies story* A 4 year old boxer, abandoned and left to fend for herself on the streets Mandie was picked up by animal control. There she waited in the hopes that her owner would come to claim her. They didnt come. She waited. Boxer rescue came to look but turned her down. So still, she waited. In need of medical attention and losing weight fast I pulled her. Mandie received veterinary care and began learning some basic obedience and socialization skills. Many people looked when she was finally ready for adoption but she was turned down in favor of younger dogs. Finally, after many months of waiting Mandie found her furever home! A home where a young autistic boy desperately needed a doggie friend to call his own. Now, Mandie is paying it forward. She was saved and given a new purpose, to help her little boy and she enjoys every minute of it! This is why I rescue!
