Martyr of a different kind - Aaron swartz (1986 - 2013) - TopicsExpress

Martyr of a different kind - Aaron swartz (1986 - 2013) was an American computer programmer, writer, political organizer and Internet Hacktivist. Aaron swartz did not follow the rules of the society. If we understand that society is a group of people living together to increase their chance of survival, we will understand why society does not like people who threatens its comfort, we will understand why society does not like people who threatens its laws, we will understand why society is quick to crush people who thinks against the stream. As per society, Education means teaching you what others think is right. It is not about knowledge, it is about favourable knowledge. Society does not like both criminals and original thinkers for the same reason, it was never about morality, it is always about survival. If your lifestyle or your views threaten the lifestyle or views of the majority then prepare to face the wrath of the multitude. Socrates was disposed of because he was asking uncomfortable questions that broke the illusion of goodness and morality among the multitude. Aaron swartz was disposed of because he wanted to free knowledge from the clutches of high and mighty but was not patient enough to take the long route through law and legislation, maybe it was too late when he realised this mistake. Route he took maybe naive but no one can deny that he fought for all of us. Aaron swartzs struggle with society reminds me of a poem Mister Blue by Tom Paxton (1937 - ) Good morning Mister Blue, weve got our eyes on you. The evidence is clear, that youve been scheming. You like to steal away and while away the day. You like to spend an hour dreaming. What will it take, to whip you into line? A broken heart? A broken head? It can be arranged. It can be arranged. Step softly Mister Blue, we know whats best for you. We know where your precious dreams will take you. Youve got a slot to fill, and fill that slot you will. Youll learn to love it, or well break you. Oh, what will it take, to whip you into line? A broken heart? A broken head? It can be arranged. It can be arranged. Be careful Mister Blue this phase youre going through, Can lead you nowhere else, but to disaster. Excuse us while we grin, youve worn our patience thin. Its time to show you whos your master. What will it take, to whip you into line? A broken heart? A broken head? It can be arranged. It can be arranged. Dont worry Mister Blue, well take good care of you. Just think of it as sense and not surrender. But never think again, that you can think again, Or youll get something youll remember. What will it take to whip you into line? A broken heart? A broken head? It can be arranged. It can be arranged.
