◄ Matthew 13:22 The thorns among us Jesus is teaching us that although they hear the word, they also get caught up in the worries and riches of the world and it chokes the seeds out rendering it unprofitable. They give into the sinful natures of the flesh and become greedy, worried about money and wanting to make more to satisfy that nature. These are the thorns among us. They hinderwithout even knowing. They drag you into their world of luxurious living and cause many to fall and stumble in the way of truth. For every action is a reaction. They drag you down to your death bed. These are the thorns sowed among us. These are what makes your ministry unfruitful. To truly want to do a work and become a beacon of hope? Youd sacrifice things and learn to become content and not wanting. It takes money to build a church overseas that can be an extension to your ministry to advance the gospel and feed the poor, heal the sick and be a service and a city lit up on a hill. These are the hindering spirits that must be tossed aside while building. Matthew 13:22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.
