The visitors almost succeeded in drawing even with a quarter of an hour remaining, but goalkeeper Souleymane Diallo cleared the situation for his side. The second leg will take place on Sunday, 20 October 2014 in Curepipe with the winner advancing to the next round of the qualifiers for the 30th edition of the flagship continental football event. The winner will join the 13 teams for the seven places for the group phase of the qualifiers. The draw for the group and final phase of qualifiers will be done at CAF headquarters on 27 April 2014.
