**Media Advisory** Committee to Examine the Science of Dyslexia Washington, D.C. - On Thursday, September 18 at 10:30 a.m., the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology will hold a hearing to examine the latest scientific research on dyslexia, the most common reading disability affecting 1 out of every 5 people. The hearing will discuss promising future research directions and treatments for people with dyslexia to overcome challenges they face, and to explore educational opportunities for students with dyslexia in fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Witnesses will testify on their personal experience with dyslexia and how they helped others overcome this challenge through innovative and creative problem-solving.
