Message from the Headmaster, Mr. Chris Charleson Continuous learning is something we encourage strongly among all our students and staff. For staff, this can happen through: attending face-to-face or online workshops; by following a programmes such as the Masters (MA) in International Education offered at ISL Qatar by the University of Bath; or even by simply sharing best practice with colleagues. However we also encourage staff to take this a step further by leading workshops, participating in accreditation visits or by presenting at conferences around the world. Many of our staff have done this over the last two years and we are continuing this trend by sending six presenters to the Annual IB Regional Conference in Rome from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19 October. Jill Shadbolt, Kim MacDonald, Helen Jeffery and Joe Hamkari are presenting on the topic ‘Mapping skills across the IB Continuum’ : and Chris Charleson and Sergio Pawel are presenting on the topic ‘Towards a leadership culture that supports the school and IB mission’. We wish them success in their presentations and we are confident they will learn much from attending this important IB conference. *Please note Martyn Shadbolt and Nick Botting will deputise in Mr Charleson’s absence.
