Misconceptions about Hydrogen: Too Costly to produce. = Presently Hydrogen would cost an average of $1 per gallon (relative to gasoline) in the USA, if bought from the Marketplace. Hydrogen can be made at home, on the go, anywhere, anytime much cheaper Takes more power to make Hydrogen than you get from it = 12 volts, 10 Amps DC power can give you 3/4 of a liter of Hydrogen per minute. Hydrogen is Dangerous = Any fuel is dangerous, yet hydrogen is probably one of the least. It does not linger, it quickly rises at 24mph, and is gone. The Infrastructure to deliver Hydrogen would be costly and take years! = Hydrogen does not NEED to be transported. It can be made "on site", and transportation methods are not that much different than with Propane. No drilling, refining, or transport really needed, as you can make Hydrogen at home. Hydrogen is not the BEST fuel = More powerful than any other fuel, it is what propels rockets into Outer Space, but as a "storage medium" it is far more efficient than batteries, and it does not depreciate. Hydrogen is more than just abundant. It could never run out. Hydrogen can even be used in "closed loop" systems, where only the original water is put in, which is in turn used over and over again. =============== We took the wrong step YEARS ago!
