~ Modesto News Editorial ~ The manager of the McDonalds on McHenry Ave. in #Modesto told me that she could not serve me because she was afraid I would rob them, solely based upon the fact that I had an over sized vehicle, and was forced to walk up to the window in an attempt to be served. (An oversized vehicle parked directly in front of the windows) She acknowledged the fact that she saw me pull up and that she knew I was driving that vehicle. Fast Food Restaurant Managers; if you do not want to serve walk ups who have over sized vehicles that is certainly your preference but, dont you dare accuse law abiding, well meaning men and women of being dangerous, and a robbery threat only because they have to walk up to try and order. I dont think anyone deserves to be literally accused of trying to rob your restaurant when they simply have an over sized vehicle. And, I personally dont like being called a criminal when I am simply trying to order subpar, unhealthy fast-food. I think Fast Food Restaurant Managers should treat everyone with respect, even us evil people who have vehicles that are too big to fit through the drive-thrus. The utterly pathetic part was that she opened the window to tell me this, at which time I informed her that if I wanted to rob her I would be doing it now. After much debate she served me only a coffee and said in no uncertain terms she would never serve me again. Well McDonalds overnight manager on McHenry Ave... I prefer not to give you my business in the future anyway. Mick Rubalcava Publisher Modesto News
