{Money Saving Tip} Whenever possible, buy meat in bulk and have it cut to order. Most major grocery chains offer custom cut and will repackage for no extra charge. For example, at my local Hannaford, pork chops were on sale for $3.49, a great price for my area. But right next to the pork chops was a sign advertising half a pork loin for $2.49 a pound. I picked out a pork loin, brought it to the butcher and asked him to cut it into 1/2 thick chops. I ended up saving myself $4 and have pork chops in my freezer to last me a month! How do you save money at the grocery store?
