[Mood Status: i feel smarter already].. boy oh boy.. 2014 is the year for television, so many good and great television shows that i can hardly keep up.. todays selection is Scorpion which had several things that i like: based on a true story, convincing characters, some of my favourite actors (Kathrine McPhee from Smash and Robert Patrick from terminator 2), and smart but socially awkward people and there is a kid involved.. the closest resemblance is the TV show Numb3rs, where is the FBI employs a mathematician to solve their cases.. but in Scorpion the FBI hires: a hacker, a human calculator, a bahviorist and an engineer.. the team is joined by a waitress who has the ability to translate the world to them; and has the patience to bring the best of them to the world.. thumbs up: great pilot episode with high production value.. plus it is based on a true story.. i loved the part when the team tells the waitress that her 9 years old son is not mentally retarded.. and that he is a hidden genius.. thumbs down: the technical part of how airports and commercial planes operate.. needs a bit more of work.. verdict for the pilot episode: a full five out of five stars - which means: recommendable to people.. currently on the 4th episode in season 1 youtube/watch?v=igxrvISaY4E
