****Morning Manna**** My son blessed me last night during his bath time. While sitting in the tub, he looked up at me and said, Daddy, Im going to walk on water. After that, he got up from his sitting position and proceeded to step lightly as he walked around the tub, apparently trying his best not to break the surface of the water. Why did this bless me? Because he didnt take the time to calculate the difficulty or impossibility of this task. He just conjured up all of his childlike faith and desire and said, Im going to do this, and I dont know enough to believe that I cant. Now I understand more clearly why Jesus said, I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and be as little children you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:3) Someone wont like what I say next, but perhaps one of the greatest deterrents to our faith in an INFINITE God is our reliance and over dependence on our FINITE, human logic. God did not promise us that well be able to understand, prove and explain every aspect of Him. The truth is, whether you believe in God or not, there is NOTHING in this earth that you will be able to fully understand, fully prove and fully explain. Yet, you trust it anyway. There are so many things in every day life that we use childlike faith for without even realizing it. God simply desires that we transfer that every day faith in creation toward Him, the Creator. Thank you, Micah for helping to remind me not to allow the paralysis of analysis to stunt my growth in God. Thank you, son, for teaching me, again, about the kind of faith it takes to be a water walker. Jesus looked at them intently and said, Humanly speaking, it is impossible.
