: Muslims Stand Together against Extremism - Say Not in My Name . Warnings Against Extremism Radical Islamists! Muslim fundamentalists! Islamic terrorists! Extremists! These are just some of the labels accredited to Muslims and certain Islamic groups in recent years. It is actually the minority Extremist Muslim that is the problem and not Islamic Extremism. Below are a couple of hadiths ( saying of the Pophet Muhammad (pbuh) ) that are written giving us all a sound warning of a group of Muslims that will quote from the Quran but will not live by its teachings. Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 93 :: Hadith 527 Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: When Ali was in Yemen, he sent some gold in its ore to the Prophet. The Prophet distributed it among Al-Aqra bin Habis Al-Hanzali who belonged to Bani Mujashi, Uyaina bin Badr Al- Fazari, Alqama bin Ulatha Al-Amiri, who belonged to the Bani Kilab tribe and Zaid AI-Khail At-Tai who belonged to Bani Nabhan. So the Quraish and the Ansar became angry and said, He gives to the chiefs of Najd and leaves us! The Prophet said, I just wanted to attract and unite their hearts (make them firm in Islam). Then there came a man with sunken eyes, bulging forehead, thick beard, fat raised cheeks, and clean-shaven head, and said, O Muhammad! Be afraid of Allah! The Prophet said, Who would obey Allah if I disobeyed Him? (Allah). He trusts me over the people of the earth, but you do not trust me? A man from the people (present then), who, I think, was Khalid bin Al-Walid, asked for permission to kill him, but the Prophet prevented him. When the man went away, the Prophet said, Out of the offspring of this man, there will be people who will recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes out through the game, and they will kill the Muslims and leave the idolators. Should I live till they appear, I would kill them as the Killing of the nation of Ad. Hazrat Ali (Radiallahu Anhu) once narrated: I swear by Allah that to fall from the sky to the earth is very simple for me, but to utter one false word in reference to the Holy Prophet (Sallalaahu Alayhi Wasallam) is a very difficult and impossible task for me. Hazrat Ali (Radiallahu Anhu) then narrated as follows: I heard the Holy Prophet (Sallalaahu Alayhi Wasallam) as saying that as the Day of Qiyamah approaches, there will appear a Group of Youths with a low mental capacity and understanding. Apparently they will talk of good but their Imaan will not go beyond their throat and they will leave the true Deen like an arrow leaves the prey. Wherever you find them, you should make Jihaad with them. (Bukhari Shareef pp/1024) My Little Rant.. I apologise for the attitude, No actually i do not because i feel very strongly it HAS to be SAID. These damned EXTREMISTS.. do the rest of us NO Favours, they belittle our faith and, damn it to hell, jump to the dance of the haters.. There are many verses and hadiths that warn Muslims against Extremism in Religion, It is forbidden to attempt to impose Islam on other people. The Qur’an says, “There is no compulsion in religion. The right way has become distinct from error.” (-The Cow, 2:256). Note that this verse was revealed in Medina in 622 AD or after and was never abrogated by any other verse of the Quran. Islam’s holy book forbids coercing people into adopting any religion. Free choice..!! Islamic Law forbids aggressive warfare, the following verse in al - Quran says, But if the enemies incline towards peace, do you also incline towards peace. And trust in God! For He is the one who hears and knows all things (8:61) Al - Quran (2:190) says Fight in the way of God against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! God loveth not aggressors. In the following hadith we read; The Prophet Muhammad counselled doing good to those who harm you and commanded, “Do not be people without minds of your own, saying that if others treat you well you will treat them well, and that if they do wrong you will do wrong to them. Instead, accustom yourselves to do good if people do good and not to do wrong (even) if they do evil.” (Al-Tirmidhi) And here in this verse we read that Allah in the Qur’an demands of believers that they exercise justice toward people even where they have reason to be angry with them: “And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.”[5:8] No matter how one labels it or tries to hide behind a so called cause, Terrorism is above all murder, and murder is strictly forbidden in the Qur’an. Qur’an 6:151 says, “and do not kill a soul that God has made sacrosanct, save lawfully.” (i.e. murder is forbidden but the death penalty imposed by the state for a crime is permitted). In verse 5:53 we read, “… whoso kills a soul, unless it be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and he who saves a life, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind.” WAR is permissible but there are stringent regulations and laws.. to kill innocents is Strictly forbidden. Permission to fight is granted to those who are attacked, because they have been wronged God indeed has the power to help them. -- Quran 22:39 O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah , investigate; and do not say to one who offers you peace You are not a believer, aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted. -- Quran 4:94 Make a Difference. I believe It is high time that decent Peace loving law abiding Muslims stood together COLLECTIVELY and shout out our OUTRAGE over the Disgusting anti Islamic behaviours of a minority of Extremists.
