(My TBT- THROWBACK) Checkout the beganing of Westcoast rap era with a song intititled ROUGHCUT by the legendary OG KIDFROST whom also use to draw & do graff charictors ,& was an Artist & still is He drew on this album Cover a playboy bunny simble with Locs on which was a ( POPLOCKIN or Poplocking simble which Pop/lockers would ware as way to identfie one another, on the streets,or diffent hood ,house party or dance , or the malls , when you wanted to go out & dance to make a name for yourself was the only way this was the for sure indication you where Stretdancers....or Poplocker along with white gloves in hand or hanging out the back pocket, it was o secret codes like such that identefied you any where you went , this was our LA street culture style & that of what our people named us , Poplockers in which represted the beganing of LAs roots was first was robot, then (lockin & poppin) in which later would wind up callin us lockers or poplockers knowing locking is big part of our LAROOTS , so we excepted it PROUDLY & would wear this label title along with old english lettering on are backs , sleeves , sides & hats etc... claiming your name from city to city, & COMING nutral colors was a must & Black & White , where just that , you had to be careful of what colors you wore in what hood u went to , back then & this was a very serious effence to ones nierborhood of wearing the wrong colors , this was no kinda joke , So our poplockin uniform colors & style was apart of our safty as well.. these where part of our pass code in to diffent hoods or barrios this is how we where only able to dance & then move on .....
