-NEW - We are excited to be offering YOGA classes at the studio! Beginning Wednesday April 2nd :) YOGA by: Julia Stanfield ~ I moved to Attica in 1978 and began teaching at the grade school that fall. It was a blessing to be able to raise my two children, Tommy and Alexis Galloway, in a small town where everyone looks out for each other. My health had always been good, but after so many years of being on my feet all day on concrete floors, I did develop some issues, and the injuries I sustained in a serious car wreck when I was 20 years old caused a lot of chronic pain. When my son, a certified personal fitness trainer, martial arts instructor, and yoga master moved back to this area, he encouraged me to begin yoga. I was amazed at how my yoga practice all but eliminated all my pain, and helped me to relax and sleep better, as well. My renewed energy and freedom from pain inspired me to begin teaching yoga classes myself, which I started in 2008. Since that time, I have also studied several martial arts systems, and began teaching Muiy Thai Kickboxing and running fitness boot camps, as well. After teaching for 32 years, I retired from teaching elementary school four years ago, and was then able to teach those classes full time. Last summer, I moved from Attica to be closer to my daughter and her family, but I have greatly missed my friends in Attica, as well as helping others develop more strength, flexibility, and tone. I am looking so forward to seeing some of my former students as well as welcoming new ones. I have a great fondness for the Attica community and have high hopes of helping more people enjoy optimum health! *These YOGA classes are held separately from all of the other classes offered here at Dream Dance. There is no advance sign-up, registration fee, or monthly tuition due. It’s very simply show up for class when you would like to come. Each class costs $5. These fees are paid directly to the YOGA instructor; they do NOT get added to your current account with us, and should never be added to your regular tuition, dropped in the studio’s drop box, or turned into our account manager. These YOGA classes are offered with ‘no strings attached’, you only pay for the classes that you attend. YOGA by JULIA classes will be offered 4 different times weekly, at the following times: WEDNESDAY: -1:00-2:00 p.m. FRIDAY: -11:00 a.m.-NOON -1:00-2:00 p.m. -6:00-7:00 p.m. YOGA Classes begin WEDNESDAY APRIL 2, 2014. Please feel free to join in the YOGA fun, invite as many friends as you like. If you would like to try out a YOGA class: -simply show up at one of the above listed class times with your $5 in hand -sign in our “YOGA Log Book” at the counter, and pay your $5 directly to Julia, the instructor -please bring exact change (no receptionist will be working behind the counter during any of our YOGA classes, so there will be no studio staff available to make change for you or to assist you with any other normal studio business-such as ordering dance shoes, tights, etc.)
