*** NEW REQUIREMENT *** ANALYTICAL & BIOANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT ELN EVOLUTION PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENT #14-00708 RECRUITER: CINDI PISNOY JOB LOCATION: PLAINSBORO, NJ JULY 16, 2014 Project Description: This IT project will improve ABD laboratory operations in New Brunswick, Lawrenceville, and Moreton through the application of proven technologies. This project will expand the current ELN technology footprint: • Vertically to deliver electronic equipment logs to all ABD scientists, replacing paper processes at two of the three sites. • Horizontally to transition bioanalytical ELN from the discovery implementation to the broader ABD implementation. Responsibilities: • Primary responsibility is to serve as PM for the ELN Evolution Project across a number of work streams. Develop and maintain project plan, and coordinate all deliverables with internal team and vendor. • Coordinate and drive all aspects of software/system development life cycle (SDLC). Create, manage and maintain project plans, testing plan, implementation plan, communications plan, training plan, and support plan. • Manage and coordinate vendor activities. Work with vendor’s project manager to coordinate project logistics. • Manage project scope, quality and timeline in conjunction with software deliverables. • Coordinate and manage project meetings and communications. • Identify and manage risks and issues. • Work with the vendor and internal resources to deliver key objectives of the program/project(s). • Work with the project’s business analyst to: o Coordinate and facilitate requirements workshops with internal and external stakeholders. o Maintain requirements traceability and verify that deliverables meet stakeholder needs • Regularly report status to business and Informatics sponsors. Prepare periodic status reports for project team, PDIT, and program governance. • Plan, measure, and track key performance indicators of the project. • Maintain project collaboration area (SharePoint) and ensure completeness of documentation and appropriate access for required stakeholders. Skills and Experience Required • At least 7+years of prior experience working as a dedicated project manager on large and/or complex projects in the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical Industry • Familiarity with Pharmaceutical Development IT • Experience managing a program/project that spans many sites, stakeholders and multiple vendors. • Experience in projects requiring validation/computer systems validation • Familiarity in understanding analytical chemistry processes in general is a plus. • Experience in documenting business process guidelines of Laboratory Systems and Environments • Experience with Electronic Notebooks a plus; specifically in a large, complex organizations • Experience with formal SDLC practices with an emphasis on driving the Execution stages. • Proven ability in gathering, tracing, and managing complex requirements, business rules, and data • Proficient in developing process workflows in MS VISIO or similar platform • Knowledge and experience with Accelrys/Symmyx ELN and related systems is a plus • Knowledge and experience with Perkin Elmer/CambridgeSoft ELN and related systems is a plus • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams • Outgoing personality; self-starter able to work interactively and independently with stakeholders • Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, logistics, physical sciences, life sciences, or statistics • PMI Certification a strong plus • Lean Sigma / Six Sigma educated a plus Position Requirements • Frequent travel between New Brunswick and Lawrenceville NJ sites.
